I am a Professor in the Physics Department at the University of California at Davis.
I do experimental research on superconductors and superfluids at temperatures below 1K, as well as some room-temperature work. My interests include heavy fermions, superfluid helium vortices, and granular materials. I frequently work with undergraduates. Talk to me if you're interested.
This fall I am teaching Mathematical Methods in Physics, Physics 104A.
I also coordinate the REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) program, which supports 11 undergraduates for summer research in the physics department.
Apart from physics, I enjoy hiking, classical music, and cooking. I also post relevant information for my kids' ballet performances.
